Q. How can I get information on how many CPU hours are used and left on my account?
A. For simple summary you can use cost command, if you are looking for details you can use 'gstatement' command.

cost -p <username> --project=projectname  , eg, cost -p anilth --project=is9999k

gstatement --hours -- summarize -p <projectname> -s YYYY-MM-DD -e YYYY-MM-DD

or simply use gstatement -u <username>

You can also use command mybalance in gardar

mybalance -h will give your balance in hours

Q. How do I change my password on gardar ?
A.

Please note that you must log in to gardar-adm to change the password, and that the password will be pushed out to the other nodes within one hour. Password can be changed with the same command of UNIX passwd command in login node

[anilth@gardar-1 ~]$ ssh gardar-adm 

[anilth@gardar-adm]$passwd  anilth

Q. How can I see how much memory my jobs have reserved, and how much they are using ?
A.

You can check the memory of your job with the 'checkjob <job_number> command. You will get output like this :

Q. How do I forward my mail 
A.

Create .forward file in your home directory and add your email address

eg: echo "anilth@hi.is" >/home/anilth/.forward
